Laurie brings more than 30 years of experience as a licensed engineer specializing in residential and small commercial projects in Oregon and across the country. Her work has spanned freezer boxes, seismic retrofits, remodels, and structural evaluations, including high-profile projects for the Street of Dreams, the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail, and homes on the National Register of Historic Places. Her favorite part of the job is meeting clients on site, walking through their concerns firsthand and working toward practical, cost-effective solutions.
Kori is a licensed engineer with 10 years of experience in small commercial and residential structural design. Before joining Lauren Thomas Consulting in 2026, she worked for a Portland home remodeling company, helping designers and homeowners with structural modifications, additions, and repairs. She holds a master's degree in structural analysis of monuments and historic construction, and genuinely enjoys helping people understand the strengths and occasional weaknesses of their home.
